Abstract

in one or more of their functional activities. Aim: To present an intervention strategy in the case of a person with permanent physical disability, building a technical aid to facilitate the daily activity of makeup. Method: This is a case report, presenting the stages of construction of an adaptation for a person with permanent physical disability, assisted by an occupational therapist in a Multiprofessional Residency Program in Physical Rehabilitation. Results and Discussion: The case study allowed us to recognize possible failures in planning, execution and training in the use of assistive technologies. With this experience, it was possible to promote the development of a basic activity of daily living, through independent performance in the use of brushes and other tools used by people to develop their own facial makeup. Conclusion: The sharing of these practices tends to contribute to the construction of strategies and possible solutions to minimize a deficiency and meet the goals of the assisted user, as well as promote the creation of new resources useful to the therapeutic process and the inspiration to other therapists in the elaboration of your treatment plans and goals.
