About the Journal

The Journal of Economic Law (Revista de Derecho Económico – RDE) is a biannual digital publication (June 30 and December 31) of the Department of Economic Law of the Faculty of Law of the University of Chile, dating back to 1962. Its objective is to disseminate articles on aspects related to economic law to both researchers and professionals.

Its territorial scope is Chile, although it is open to receiving contributions from other countries in the region, or even Europe.

Unpublished research articles in Spanish and English are accepted and must be submitted exclusively through the journal's website. The evaluation process is carried out by external reviewers who are experts in the field, using a double-blind system in which authors and reviewers are unaware of each other's identities and institutional affiliations. The Editorial Team will consider the relevance of the material received and notify the author in a timely manner of the acceptance or rejection of the material submitted. Our editorial focus encompasses a wide range of topics within the field of Economic Law, including microeconomics, macroeconomics, economic policy, economic public order, competition law, public utilities regulation, consumer law, banking law, capital markets, tax law, accounting, international trade and finance, environmental and natural resources law, mining law, water law, energy law, international economic law, law and economics, and other related subjects.

The Journal does not charge fees for accessing published articles, nor does it charge authors for processing, editing, or submitting their manuscripts, thus ensuring open and free access.

Since 2021, the Revista de Derecho Económico has provided free, immediate access to its final published content under the Creative Commons Attribution/Recognition-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license, with no embargo period and no registration required for users.

Under this license, any user is permitted to share, copy, and redistribute the material in any medium or format for any purpose, including commercially, and to adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose. However, you must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes have been made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests that you or your use is endorsed by the licensor. Additionally, if you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contribution under the same license as the original.

The Revista de Derecho Económico is produced under the principle that making research freely available to the public supports greater global knowledge exchange. In line with this, the journal adheres to the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) and Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.

Additionally, the RDE provides free, immediate access to all its content in PDF, MOBI, EPUB, and HTML formats to ensure maximum dissemination of the authors' contributions.
